Man Hospitalized after Pedestrian Crash on Main Street and Topaz Avenue

 
HESPERIA, CA (December 12, 2022) — A man sustained critical injuries after a pedestrian accident on Main Street on Friday, December 9.
 
The crash happened at around 7:15 am at the intersection of Main Street and Topaz Avenue near Topaz Market Place.
 
San Bernardino County Fire and Hesperia Police arrived at the crash site and found a male lying in the street with major injuries.
 
Paramedics rushed the pedestrian by ground ambulance to the Hesperia Airport. Then they airlifted him to an out-of-area trauma center. The extent of his condition is not yet available at this time.
 
The female driver involved in the crash stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. She said she had a green light while she drove east on Main Street when the incident happened.
 
According to a witness, the man tried to cross from the north side of Main Street to the south side of Main Street when the accident happened.
