Luis Rodriguez Detained in Deadly DUI Accident on Highway 99 near Monte Vista Avenue

 
TURLOCK, CA (October 7, 2021) — Luis Rodriguez faces charges in a fatal DUI crash on Highway 99 near Monte Vista Avenue last Thursday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal accident happened around 11:30 p.m. For DUI-related reasons, 35-year-old Rodriguez lost control of his SUV. Subsequently, the vehicle veered off the road, flipped over onto its roof and ejected Rodriguez’s wife.
 
Soon after, paramedics reached the scene to find his wife dead.
 
Per reports, both she and Rodriguez, who suffered a fractured leg and arm, were not strapped in a safety belt.
 
Following the accident, police arrested Rodriguez on DUI charges and paramedics tended to his four young children — ages 6 months to 3 years old.
