Woman Dies after Struck by Freight Train at Galena and Rutile Streets

 
JURUPA VALLEY, CA (October 7, 2021) – Anna Marie Garcia was killed in a train accident in Jurupa Valley Saturday morning.
 
The accident happened around 9:26 a.m. on October 2, near the crossing at Galena Street and Rutile Street. According to the sheriff’s office, the freight train struck Garcia in unknown circumstances, causing her fatal injuries.
 
First responders pronounced Garcia dead at the scene. No one on the train sustained injuries from the crash.
 
Garcia was a 36-year-old Riverside resident, according to the Riverside County Coroner’s Office.
 
At this time, this fatal accident is still under investigation.
