81-Year-Old Pedestrian Dies after Struck by Vehicle in Joshua Tree

 
JOSHUA TREE, CA (March 8, 2023) – Linden Burke was killed in a pedestrian accident in Joshua Tree Saturday morning on March 4.
 
The fatal accident happened around 5:07 a.m. on Highway 62, just west of White Feather Road. According to the California Highway Patrol, Burke was walking in the area when a vehicle struck him.
 
As a result, Burke suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene around 5:11 a.m. He was 81 years old from Joshua Tree.
 
It is unclear if the involved driver stayed after the crash. An investigation is underway to determine the factors involved and liability.
