77-Year-Old Jose Dorado Struck, Killed by Hit-and-Run Driver in Boyle Heights

 
BOYLE HEIGHTS, CA (April 18, 2024) – Authorities identified 77-year-old Jose Dorado as the pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run on Mission Road, Tuesday evening.
 
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, the incident happened on April 16, at about 8:05 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a southbound vehicle hit the pedestrian near the intersection of Mission Road and Plaza del Sol.
 
Emergency crews pronounced the pedestrian, Dorado, dead at the scene.
 
As per reports, the driver of the vehicle fled the area and did not render aid. The description of the suspect vehicle is not yet available.
