Jordan Rawlins Riding Dies after Struck by SUV while Riding Skateboard on Brockton Avenue near Arlington Avenue

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (February 28, 2022) – Jordan Rawlins was hit and killed by a car while riding a skateboard in Riverside on Friday evening.
 
The fatal accident happened around 7:30 p.m. on February 25, in the area of Brockton Avenue and Arlington Avenue. According to the Riverside Police Department, the 16-year-old victim from Perris was riding his skateboard when a GMC Yukon with a trailer attached struck him at the intersection.
 
Responding paramedics rushed Rawlins to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
 
The driver of the SUV, a 60-year-old Riverside County resident, remained on scene and cooperated with police.
 
Drug and/or alcohol intoxication have not yet been ruled out as possible contributing factors in crash. Further investigation is underway.
