Huntington Beach Woman Dies in DUI 6-Vehicle Crash in Corona

 
CORONA, CA (April 18, 2021)Joan McKee died in a DUI 6-vehicle crash on 91 Freeway in Corona Saturday night, April 17.
 
The 71-year-old Huntington Beach woman died at the scene, according to the Riverside County Coroner’s officials.
 
Dispatchers received reports of a Ford Windstar driving erratically in eastbound lanes in the area of Main Street and Lincoln Avenue around 5:50 p.m. Less than three minutes later, it slammed into the back of a Chrysler Voyager, initiating a chain-reaction crash involving six vehicles.
 
As a result, Mckee died at the scene. It is unclear which vehicle she was in.
 
Meanwhile, a man and woman sitting in the front of the Chrysler were ejected from the minivan as it spun out. Paramedics took the man to a hospital with serious injuries.
 
The driver of the Windstar, 41-year-old Adrian Antonio of Fontana, sustained minor injuries. Police later arrested him on suspicion of homicide and driving while intoxicated.
 
Further investigation is underway.
