Coroner Identifies San Dimas Man Killed in Head-On Crash on Arrow Highway near Gary Avenue

 
POMONA, CA (April 18, 2021) – The coroner’s office identified the man who died in a head-on crash in Pomona Friday afternoon, April 16.
 
The fatal crash happened around 3:35 p.m. on Arrow Highway, just west of Gary Avenue. According to the Pomona Police Department, 53-year-old Jerry Cole Jr. of San Dimas was driving a black Lexus westbound in the eastbound lanes of Arrow Highway. He then collided head-on with an eastbound vehicle.
 
As a result, Cole suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
 
The driver of the other vehicle suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital.
 
It is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a factor in the crash. An investigation is active and ongoing.
