One Dead, Three Hospitalized after Vehicle Goes Off Cliff in Angeles National Forest Crash

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 18, 2021)Dolores Palmerin died in a car accident in the Angeles National Forest Friday night, April 16.
 
The 46-year-old Santa Barbara woman died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County coroner’s office.
 
The crash happened around 6:45 p.m. on Big Tujunga Canyon Rod in the Angeles National Forest. According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, Palmerin was a passenger in a 2000 Nissan Frontier that veered to the right over the dirt embankment and rolled down the mountainside.
 
As a result of the crash, Palmerin suffered fatal blunt force injuries.

Firefighters treated two injured adults and a female toddler before the victims were airlifted to County-USC Medical Center.

According to the CHP, the 27-year-old female driver sustained a laceration to her left hand while a 56-year-old woman suffered a seatbelt abrasion to her neck. A 1-year-old girl was uninjured. Seatbelts and child safety equipment were in use.

An investigation into this fatal crash is ongoing.
