Coroner Identifies 48-Year-Old Woman Killed in East LA Crash near Falling Leaf and Graves Avenues

 
EAST LOS ANGELES, CA (December 8, 2022) – Jiu Qiu was killed in a traffic accident in East Los Angeles Tuesday night on December 6.
 
The fatal accident happened around 6:37 p.m. near Falling Leaf Avenue and Graves Avenue, just west of San Gabriel Boulevard. CHP officials did not provide details of how the crash occurred, but they confirmed one fatality as a result of the accident.
 
Qiu, a 48-year-old Rosemead resident, died at the scene, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
 
It is unclear if there are other parties involved in the crash. It is also unknown if drugs or alcohol was a factor.
 
The circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.
