Herbert Sanders Jr. Killed in Pedestrian Crash on 91 Freeway near 14th Street

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (June 25, 2021) — Herbert Sanders Jr. died in a pedestrian accident on the 91 Freeway near 14th Street Thursday morning.
 
According to the coroner’s office, Sanders, of Riverside, died at the scene around 2:05 a.m. For unknown reasons, the 44-year-old tried running from the shoulder of the freeway to the center divider. Although he had made it across most of the lanes, he was hit in the fast lane by an oncoming sedan.
 
Soon after, the driver who struck him pulled over, along with other drivers who tried to render aid.
 
At this time, officers have not released an explanation of the crash. However, if anyone would like to help the authorities with this deadly accident, please contact the California Highway Patrol.
