74-Year-Old Alan Jones Unharmed in Deadly Motorcycle Crash on Baseline Avenue near Mora Avenue

 
SANTA YNEZ VALLEY, CA (June 25, 2021)— Alan Jones was involved in a fatal motorcycle accident on Baseline Avenue near Mora Avenue Thursday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal motorcycle accident happened around 10:45 am. For unknown reasons, 74-year-old Jones failed to see an oncoming BMW heading west as his eastbound 2021 Honda SUV began making a left turn into a private driveway.
 
As a result, the 2021 BMW motorcycle and Jones’ Honda collided, causing the 69-year-old motorcyclist to eject from the bike.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded and tried to resuscitate the victim. However, efforts became unsuccessful, and the man died at the scene.
 
Following the crash, police questioned and investigated the driver, ruling out impairment as a possible source. However, if anyone can help officers identify the precise cause of the accident, please contact the CHP.
