Hector Lazaro Injured, Woman Dead in Hollister Accident on Highway 152 near Dinosaur Point Road

 
HOLLISTER, CA (September 20, 2022) — A man identified as 49-year-old Hector Perez Lazaro of Castaic suffered injuries in a car crash.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, on Sunday night two vehicles drove eastbound on Highway 152 near Dinosaur Point Road. Then the 2007 Lexus GS350 collided into the back of a 2020 Kia Optima.
 
The impact forced the Kia off the road and down an embankment.
 
Lazaro who drove the Kia suffered major injuries in the collision. His passenger, a Castaic woman whose identity was not yet released by the CHP, died in the incident.
 
Officials did not find the driver of the Lexus at the scene of the crash.
