Firebaugh Car Accident Kills Emmanuel Espinoza and Garrett Moore

 
FIREBAUGH, CA (June 29, 2021) – Two people were killed in a head-on accident on Highway 33 in Fresno County, June 20.
 
According to the Fresno County Sheriff’s Office, 34-year-old Emmanuel Espinoza and 21-year-old Garrett Moore were the drivers killed in the accident. Espinoza is said to be from Los Banos and Moore is from Dos Palos, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
 
The accident happened around 5:48 a.m. Sunday morning at Douglas Avenue, just outside Firebaugh. According to the California Highway Patrol, one pickup truck was traveling northbound on the highway and another pickup truck towing farm equipment was heading southbound.
 
As the two trucks approached one another, the one traveling northbound possibly drifted into the opposite lane. As a result, the two vehicles collided head-on.
 
Both trucks caught fire from the impact, killing both Moore and Espinoza.
 
It is still unknown what caused the accident. Further investigation is underway.
