Carson Pedestrian Accident on 110 Freeway, Gabriel Galvez Dead

 
CARSON, CA (July 6, 2021) – A man was killed in a pedestrian accident on 110 Freeway in Carson early Saturday morning.
 
The man was identified as 19-year-old Gabriel Galvez of Carson, according to the coroner’s office.
 
The accident happened around 12:39 a.m. on July 3, just north of Carson Street. According to the California Highway Patrol, Galvez was lying in the second lane of the southbound freeway when a 1999 Lexus that was traveling between 65 to 70 mph struck him.
 
Galvez suffered significant injuries and died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the 17-year-old boy driving the Lexus did not sustain any injuries.
 
It is still unknown why the pedestrian was lying in the freeway prior to the crash. Further investigation is underway.
