60-Year-Old Errol Prescotte Dies March 5 after Struck by Car in Paramount

 
PARAMOUNT, CA (March 15, 2021) – The Los Angeles County Sheriff Coroner’s Office identified Errol Prescotte as the man who died in a pedestrian accident in Paramount.
 
The accident happened around 7:57 p.m. last Friday, March 5 at the intersection of Garfield Avenue and Rosecrans Avenue.
 
Prescotte, 60, was crossing the intersection when a vehicle struck him. He suffered significant injuries from the impact and died at the scene.
 
It is unknown at this time if he was crossing the street in a marked crosswalk or if he was jaywalking. There are traffic lights controlling this particular intersection. Also, there are crosswalks for pedestrians in all directions.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the accident and did not rule out drugs and alcohol as factors.
