Multi-Vehicle Crash on Mariposa Road in Hesperia Kills Two People and Injures Three Others

 
HESPERIA, CA (April 23, 2024)Elisabeth Woo and Hector Ramon Gagliardi Sr. died in a multi-vehicle accident in Hesperia Monday evening on April 15.
 
The fatal accident happened around 10:34 p.m. at Mariposa Road and Mesa Street. According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, a Hyundai SUV, a silver 2007 Toyota Yaris and a red 2003 Ford F150 collided for unknown reasons.
 
Gagliardi, a 67-year-old Hinkley resident, was the driver of the Ford pickup. He was rushed to Desert Valley Hospital, where he died at 11:17 p.m.
 
Woo, an 88-year-old resident of Manassas, Virginia, was a passenger in one of the vehicles. She was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries. She died in the intensive care unit on Friday, April 19 at 2:06 p.m.
 
A husband and wife in the Hyundai sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The adult male driver of the Yaris sustained some cuts to his face from the broken glass and declined medical transportation.

The cause of the crash and factors involved are still under investigation.
