Semi Truck Accident on 10 Freeway in Baldwin Park Kills Dayanna Tamayo, Injures One

 
BALDWIN PARK, CA (August 30, 2021) – One person died in a semi truck accident on 10 Freeway in Baldwin Park early Saturday morning, August 28.
 
The victim was identified as 19-year-old Dayanna Tamayo of Baldwin Park, according to the coroner’s office.
 
The accident happened around 3:02 a.m. at the intersection with westbound San Bernardino (10) Freeway and Puente Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, a vehicle had collided with the semi-truck for unknown reasons.
 
Tamayo died at the scene.
 
Another person was temporarily trapped inside a vehicle. Emergency crews extricated the patient and transported them to a hospital in an unknown condition.
 
Further investigation is underway.
