22-Year-Old Man Fatally Struck by Vehicle on 215 Freeway near Palm Avenue

 
SAN BERNARDINO, CA (August 31, 2021) – Andrew Rios died in a pedestrian accident in San Bernardino late Wednesday evening, August 25.
 
The accident happened around 10:13 p.m. on 215 Freeway near Palm Avenue and Kendall Drive. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 22-year-old victim from Ontario was walking in the center divider and the fast lane. He was wearing a dark-colored long sleeve shirt, and pants. A short time later, a passing vehicle struck him.
 
First responders found Rios unresponsive in the fast lane. They attempted life-saving aid, but the victim died at the scene.
 
Meanwhile, the involved motorist remained on scene and cooperated with authorities.
