Chris Kornack Involved in Deadly Pedestrian Crash on Highway 74 near Trumble Road

MENIFEE, CA (January 13, 2022) — Chris Kornack became involved in a fatal pedestrian accident on Highway 74 near Trumble Road, Tuesday night.
 
According to the Menifee Police Department, the fatal pedestrian crash occurred around 9:20 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, Kornacki, of New York, struck a woman with his sedan, despite efforts to avoid the crash.
 
Following the accident, Kornacki immediately stopped and contacted 911.
 
Upon responding, California Highway Patrol officers confirmed that the woman had died at the scene.
 
At this time, detectives have not released information regarding the ultimate cause or factors of the accident. However, they do not suspect impairment or distracted driving to factor into this fatal crash.
