65-Year-Old Pedestrian Cheryl Rogers Fatally Struck by Car in Carmichael

 
CARMICHAEL, CA (April 25, 2021) – Cheryl Rogers was killed in a pedestrian accident Tuesday last week in Carmichael.
 
The accident happened around 8:51 p.m. on April 13, at the intersection of Manzanita Avenue and Winding Way. According to the California Highway Patrol, the 65-year-old woman was in the roadway when a black sedan struck her.
 
Paramedics responded to the scene and found the Rogers lying in the roadway unresponsive. They attempted saving her, but she died at the scene.
 
The Sacramento County Sheriff Coroner identified the victim on their website.
 
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if the involved driver stopped after the crash.
 
Police closed down the intersection for approximately two hours while they investigated the accident. It is unknown if speed, drugs or alcohol played a factor.
