Two Vehicles Crash on Siempre Viva Road in San Diego

 
SAN DIEGO, CA (May 30, 2021) – Officers confirmed that two CBP officers suffered injuries in a crash on Siempre Viva Road on May 26.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened near Otay Mesa Cross Border Xpress pedestrian bridge to the Tijuana Airport at Las Californias Drive around 4:20 PM.
 
Based on a report, a pickup and SUV crashed in the lanes. One of the vehicles T-boned the other. However, it was unclear how the crash occurred.
 
As a result, medics took three people to hospitals with minor injuries. Officials said two of the victims were on-duty U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers.
