43-Year-Old Carrie Lopez Dies in Northwest Bakersfield DUI Crash

 
BAKERSFIELD, CA (April 11, 2021)Carrie Cuca Lopez died in a DUI accident Tuesday in Northwest Bakersfield, the Kern County Coroner’s Office said.
 
According to Bakersfield Police, the accident happened just before midnight on Calloway Drive at Tumwater Avenue.
 
The 43-year-old Bakersfield woman was driving a white SUV when another motorist struck her car. Police said the second vehicle made a left turn into a neighborhood when it hit Lopez’ SUV.
 
As a result, Lopez suffered major injuries. Paramedics took her to Kern Medical Center, where she later died.
 
The other driver had minor injuries.
