Vehicles Struck by Big Rig in Accident on 215 Freeway in Riverside
RIVERSIDE, CA (April 11, 2021) – Officials confirmed that one person was hurt in a big rig accident on 215 Freeway on April 2.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened at University Avenue around 8:45 AM.
Based on a report, the tractor-trailer was pulling over to the shoulder prior to the crash. Due to unknown reasons, it struck two vehicles on the freeway. Consequently, the two vehicles remained in the roadway, blocking at least two lanes of traffic.
As a result, one person suffered injuries in the crash. It was not clear if emergency crews transported the victim to the hospital. In addition, the crash also snarled the traffic in the area.
