Camilla Sanchez Hit and Killed by Vehicle on 880 Freeway [Oakland, CA]

22-Year-Old Woman Dies after Struck by Pickup Truck on 880 Freeway in Oakland

 
OAKLAND, CA (January 8, 2024) – Camilla Dayanna Sanchez was killed after being struck by a pickup truck in Oakland on December 26.
 
The fatal crash happened around 9:30 p.m. on 880 Freeway, just between High Street and 66th Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, Sanchez was running across the northbound lanes of the freeway when the pickup truck struck her.
 
The impact caused Sanchez fatal injuries and she died at the scene. She was 22 years old. The coroner’s office does not have a city of residence for her.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup stayed on the scene and cooperated with authorities.
 
The CHP said there were no signs the driver was impaired.
