Coroner Identifies Victim in Fatal Palmdale Crash on 14 Freeway near Avenue O-8

 
PALMDALE, CA (March 28, 2021) – The name of the man who died in a car accident on Antelope Valley Freeway in Palmdale has been released.
 
The Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office identified him as 33-year-old Bryan Gamez.
 
The crash happened around 12:59 a.m. Sunday, March 21 near Avenue O-8. Gamez was driving a 1997 Acura RL southbound on the 14 Freeway. For unknown reasons, he veered his vehicle to the right and crashed into the metal guardrail. The vehicle then swerved across all lanes and crashed into the metal guardrail center divide.
 
Gamez, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was ejected from the car and died at the scene.
 
The involvement of alcohol and/or drugs is unknown at this time and is still under investigation.
