Authorities Identify Thong Tran as Pedestrian Fatally Struck by Freight Train in Lancaster

 
LANCASTER, CA (March 30, 2021) – Authorities identified the pedestrian who died in a train accident in Lancaster Monday, March 15.
 
He was 47-year-old Thong Tran, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
 
The accident happened around 3:47 p.m. on the railroad tracks near Avenue J and Sierra Highway. Tran was struck by a freight train and died at the scene.
 
No further information on the incident was immediately available. An investigation is underway.
