Off-Duty LAPD Officer Dies after Crash with Big Rig on 210 Freeway in Glendora

 
GLENDORA, CA (April 16, 2023) – An off-duty LAPD officer Baldemar Sandoval was killed in a rear-end crash in Glendora early Saturday morning on April 15.
 
The fatal crash happened around 2:30 a.m. on 210 Freeway, just west of Grand Avenue. According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Sandoval was on his way home when his vehicle rear-ended a big rig along the eastbound freeway.
 
Sandoval was pronounced dead at the scene. He worked out of the department’s Central Division. His age and tenure with the police department were not immediately available.
 
The cause of the crash and factors involved remain under investigation.
