Early Morning Rollover Crash on 5 Freeway in Fresno County Kills Driver and Injures 2 Passengers

 
FRESNO COUNTY, CA (April 16, 2023) – A man was killed in a rollover accident on 5 Freeway in Fresno County early Saturday morning on April 15.
 
The fatal accident happened shortly before 1:00 a.m. at Lassen Avenue, just north of the Kings County line. According to the California Highway Patrol, a car was traveling on the freeway when it crashed into the center divider. The impact caused the car to roll over several times, ejecting all three occupants.
 
The male driver in his early 20s suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene. He was not yet identified.
 
The two passengers, women also in their early 20s, were taken to the hospital in unknown conditions.
 
Alcohol and drugs are not suspected factors in the crash. Further investigation is underway.
