INGLEWOOD, CA (April 21, 2021) – Police identified Ashley Burnham as the victim who died in a pedestrian accident on southbound 405 Freeway on April 17.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision happened just west of Arbor Vitae Street at approximately 8:30 PM.
 
Based on a report, the woman was running to the first lane of the southbound freeway at the time of the crash. Due to unknown reasons, a 1999 Land Rover Range Rover struck her. Subsequently, a 2015 Nissan Altima came and also hit her.
 
As a result, 37-year-old Ashley Burnham died in the incident. Officials identified her as an Inglewood resident.
 
Consequently, emergency crews shut down all southbound lanes around Arbor Vitae Street, creating traffic near Los Angeles International Airport.
 
At this point, an investigation is still ongoing.
