SAN RAMON, CA (February 2, 2021) – The coroner’s office identified the two men who died in a fiery accident early Sunday morning, January 10.
 
The accident happened around 3:30 a.m. on 680 Freeway, just north of Alcosta Boulevard.
 
Andree Jamerson III of Gilroy and Joseph Legrande of San Jose both died at the scene. Both were 20 years old.
 
According to the CHP, a Volkswagen Jetta was heading south on the freeway when it went off the roadway to the right. the car swerved back to the left and hit the center median, before coming to rest sideways.
 
A passing Ford Fiesta then struck the Jetta, which burst into flames. Jamerson and Legrande died at the scene, who were trapped inside the car.
 
A third person in the Jetta suffered major injuries and the Ford driver had moderate injuries.
 
Further investigation into this accident is underway.
