2-Car Crash, Vehicle Hits Students at Palm Street in La Habra

LA HABRA, CA (April 12, 2024) — Eight people were injured after a 2-car crash sent a car hitting a group of students at Palm Street and La Habra Boulevard.

According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the two-car crash happened around 1:40 p.m. Wednesday. For unknown reasons, two drivers collided near Sonora High School. Subsequently, one car jumped a curb and struck about seven students standing on the sidewalk.

Shortly after, paramedics responded and confirmed eight injuries, including the driver. According to reports, all of them suffered only minor injuries.

At the time of the report, authorities did not confirm the ultimate cause but believe one of the drivers ran a red light. However, if anyone has additional insight into this car accident, please call the La Habra Police Department.

Running red lights only increases the risk of a car accident. If you are rushing to your next stop, remember to slow down. Speeding and disobeying traffic lights and signs will increase these risks and put you and others in danger. If you are under a time constraint, leave the house early.
