SAN DIEGO, CA (April 12, 2024) — A pedestrian hit by a car on Washington Street near Lincoln Avenue suffered multiple injuries.
 
According to the San Diego Police, the pedestrian accident happened around 10:42 p.m. Wednesday. For an unknown reason, a 41-year-old man standing on the north shoulder of Washington Street stepped in front of a westbound 2014 Toyota Prius. Subsequently, the 27-year-old driver struck the pedestrian.
 
Soon after, emergency personnel arrived and took the victim to a hospital for treatment of spinal fractures, a lower left leg fracture and a cut to his forehead. Although he sustained multiple injuries, paramedics deemed them non-life threatening.
