Two Seriously Hurt in Two-Vehicle Accident on Lakeview Avenue near Phillip Road in Nuevo

 
NUEVO, CA (March 14, 2021) – Five people sustained injuries in a two-vehicle accident on Lakeview Avenue, Sunday morning.
 
According to the Riverside County Fire Department, the incident happened at about 6:35 a.m. For reasons still under investigation, two vehicles collided near the area of Lakeview Avenue and Phillip Road.
 
The impact of the crash trapped at least one person from each vehicle.
 
Paramedics later transported two people to a hospital with serious injuries. Authorities did not release the names of the victims.
 
Meanwhile, three other people sustained minor injuries. However, it is unknown whether or not they needed hospitalization.
 
As per reports, responders temporarily closed affected areas to make way for clearing operations.
 
Officials continue to investigate the cause of the accident. Investigators will release additional information once it becomes available.
