Crash Between Electric Motorcycle and SUV on Via Las Brisas in Thousand Oaks Badly Injures 3 Teenage Boys

 
THOUSAND OAKS, CA (March 1, 2023) – Three teenage boys were badly hurt in a motorcycle accident at Via Las Brisas and Via Grande in Thousand Oaks on Monday night.
 
The accident happened shortly before 6:00 p.m. on February 27. According to the Thousand Oaks Police Department, the victims were riding on an electric motorcycle heading the wrong way in a bike lane. The off-road motorcycle then struck the front end of the small Mercedes SUV.
 
The teens, who are 14, 15 and 16 years old, were ejected from the motorcycle. Emergency personnel provided care at the scene before an ambulance took them to Los Robles Regional Medical Center with major injuries, including broken bones and blunt force trauma.
 
All three teens were wearing helmets, authorities said.
 
The 47-year-old woman driving the SUV stopped and cooperated with police. She was unharmed and there were no signs that she was impaired.
