FRESNO, CA (October 26, 2023) — Three people suffered injuries, including a pedestrian, in an accident at Herndon Avenue and Blackstone Avenue.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 11:40 a.m. on October 23. For what authorities believe was due to a medical emergency, a driver heading eastbound accelerated across the center median. Subsequently, the vehicle continued onto the off-ramp and struck a pedestrian before plowing through a fence. There, the truck struck an SUV reversing out.
 
Shortly after, paramedics brought all three people, including the pedestrian who suffered major injuries, to a local hospital. Authorities do not believe alcohol or drugs played a factor.
