3 Hurt in DUI Head-On Crash on Highway 33 in Firebaugh

 
FIREBAUGH, CA (November 14, 2022) — Three people were injured in a DUI head-on accident on Highway 33 near Hudson Avenue on Saturday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-vehicle crash occurred around 7:00 p.m. For possible DUI-related reasons, a woman driving southbound on the highway veered off the road.
 
She overcorrected into oncoming traffic and struck a vehicle head-on. At some point, a third car became involved, striking the two vehicles.
 
In the wake of the crash, the woman who overcorrected suffered major injuries and was brought to a hospital. Police placed her under investigation for DUI.
 
As for the car she struck, the man and woman occupying the vehicle sustained major injuries. In addition, a juvenile in the vehicle sustained minor injuries.
 
No one else reported injuries in the accident. At this time, if witnesses have more to add to this accident, please contact the CHP.
