HOLLISTER, CA (March 22, 2022) – Two people were killed in a multi-vehicle accident on Highway 156 on Saturday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened on March 19 at about 10:45 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a westbound 1995 Honda Accord crossed the double yellow line.
 
Then, the Honda collided head-on with a 2020 Nissan Moreno near Flint Road. As a result, the impact of the collision caused the Honda to collide with a Tesla in the eastbound lane.
 
Emergency crews pronounced a 71-year-old driver and his 63-year-old passenger dead at the scene. As per reports, both victims were San Benito County residents. Authorities withheld the names of the victims, pending notification of next of kin.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
