2 Hurt in La Jolla Wrong-Way Accident on 5 Freeway

 
LA JOLLA, CA (August 11, 2021) — Two people suffered injuries in a wrong-way crash on the 5 Freeway near La Jolla Parkway Monday.
 
According to authorities, the two-vehicle collision happened around 11:45 p.m. For unknown reasons, a driver in a white Chevrolet Tahoe SUV was traveling northbound in the southbound lane. Around the La Jolla Parkway exit, the Chevrolet slammed into a Mazda SUV.
 
As a result of the accident, two people suffered unknown injuries and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
