2 Hospitalized, Vehicle and Semi-Truck Collide on 91 Freeway in Riverside

 
RIVERSIDE, CA (May 31, 2022) — Two people suffered non-life-threatening injuries after a car and a semi-truck crashed on the 91 Freeway near University Avenue on May 18.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-vehicle crash happened around 9:20 a.m.
 
For unknown reasons, a car, believed to be a Toyota Prius, crashed into a semi-truck. Fortunately, two occupants of the Toyota self-extricated themselves from the vehicle, appearing shaken up.
 
Soon after, paramedics brought the surviving occupants of the Toyota to a hospital for care.
 
Meanwhile, the driver of the semi-truck stayed at the scene and appeared uninjured.
 
At this time, the events leading to the crash need more investigating. Although, police believe the semi-truck driver struck the Prius. If anyone has more information, please call the CHP officers.
