2 Hospitalized After Vehicles Strikes Fire Truck at Crash Site on 680 Freeway in Fremont

 
FREMONT, CA (April 15, 2024) — Two people suffered injuries after two cars hit a fire truck at a crash site on the 680 Freeway near Andrade Road.
 
According to the Fremont Fire Department, the multi-vehicle crash happened around 7:00 a.m. Saturday. Under unclear circumstances, a driver crashed on the 680 North Freeway near Andrade Road. Subsequently, Fremont Firefighters arrived at the scene to treat a patient with unknown injuries. However, shortly after their arrival, two drivers struck their Fremont Fire Department engine during two different instances.
 
As a result, one of the drivers suffered minor injuries in the accident. Fortunately, neither firefighter on site reported any harm.
 
Watch out for disabled cars and emergency vehicles parked along the shoulder. If you see cars pulled over, slow down or switch to the faster lane. Always use your hazards lights if you decide to use the shoulder, as well.
