2 Hospitalized in Winchester Car Crash on Scott Road

 
WINCHESTER, CA (April 7, 2022) — Two people were injured in a car accident on Scott Road at Winchester Road on Wednesday.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle accident occurred around 11:05 a.m. For unknown reasons, a car collided with a second vehicle, causing one of the vehicles to overturn several times and strike a retaining wall.
 
Due to the circumstances of the crash, one person became trapped inside the wreckage and required extrication by Riverside County Fire Department officials.
 
Upon arriving, firefighters freed the victim and brought the patient to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Meanwhile, emergency personnel tended to an occupant of the same vehicle who suffered minor to moderate wounds.
