Officer Injured in Accident on 10 Freeway near Cook Street [Palm Desert, CA]

Officer Hospitalized in Crash on 10 Freeway in Palm Desert

 
PALM DESERT, CA (April 7, 2022) — An officer was injured in an accident on the 10 Freeway near Cook Street on Wednesday morning.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the two-vehicle crash occurred around 6:30 a.m. along the 10 Freeway overpass over Cook Street.
 
For unknown reasons, a driver of a black Honda collided with a Riverside County Sheriff’s Department motorcycle. Soon after, paramedics responded to the scene and brought the officer to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Following the investigation, officers released the Honda driver.
 
At this time, CHP officers have not released facts on the liabilities and circumstances of the accident. However, witnesses with information should reach out to the department.
