Tadeusz Wilczynski Dies after Motorcycle Collides with Jeep in Livermore

 
LIVERMORE, CA (April 7, 2022) – A motorcyclist was killed in a traffic accident on Mines Road south of downtown Livermore on Saturday, March 12.
 
Police identified the victim as 60-year-old Tadeusz “Teddy” Wilczynski, according to the Alameda County Coroner’s Bureau. According to an online obituary, Wilczynski was a native of Poland residing in Fremont.
 
The California Highway Patrol reported that around 1:30 p.m., a Jeep Wrangler traveling southbound on Mines Road in unincorporated Livermore, about a mile south of the Tesla Road intersection, began making a left turn into a driveway.
 
However, the Jeep collided with Wilczynski’s oncoming BMW motorcycle in the northbound lane. As a result, the impact threw Wilczynski off his bike.
 
The motorcyclist – later identified as Wilczynski – died from his injuries at Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley.
 
The Jeep driver is described as 59-year-old Livermore woman, but her name has not been revealed publicly.
 
CHP officials are still investigating the cause and factors involved in the crash.
