Wrong-Way Driver Causes Three-Vehicle Crash on Manor Street in Oildale Critically Injuring Two People

 
OILDALE, CA (January 8, 2024) – Two people were hospitalized in a three-vehicle accident at Manor Street and Denise Avenue in Oildale on Sunday morning.
 
The accident happened around 6:11 a.m. on January 7. According to the Bakersfield Police Department, a red coupe was heading north in the southbound lanes of Manor Street at Denise Avenue when it collided with two other vehicles, a black crossover and a red sedan.
 
Two people suffered major injuries as a result of the crash. Paramedics rushed them to a local hospital in critical condition.
 
It is unknown if speed or impairment played a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
