Child, Adult Injured in Five-Vehicle Accident on 5 Freeway near Magic Mountain Parkway

 
SANTA CLARITA, CA (December 20, 2021) – A child and an adult sustained injuries in a five-vehicle accident on 5 Freeway, Saturday afternoon.
 
According to the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the incident happened on December 18, at about 3:11 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, five vehicles collided near Magic Mountain Parkway.
 
As per reports, a child suffered a nose bleed and an adult sustained minor injuries. Emergency crews transported both victims to a nearby hospital for treatment.
 
Responders temporarily closed two lanes on the freeway to make way for clearing operations and an investigation. Closed lanes were reopened shortly after 3:50 p.m.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
