CABAZON, CA (April 27, 2021) – One person sustained injuries in a semi-truck accident on 10 Freeway, Monday evening.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at about 5:34 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, a car and a semi-truck collided on the westbound side of the freeway just east of Malki Road.
 
Paramedics transported one victim to a local hospital for treatment of serious injuries. Meanwhile, another person sustained minor injuries and received treatment at the scene. Authorities did not release the names of the people involved.
 
CHP continues to investigate the cause of the accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
