SANTA CLARA, CA (July 18, 2023) — One person suffered injuries in a pedestrian accident on Lafayette Street at Great America Way.
 
According to the Santa Clara Police Department, the pedestrian accident happened Thursday afternoon. For an unknown reason, a driver struck a pedestrian on the northbound lanes of Lafayette Street. Moments later, emergency personnel arrived and took the patient to a nearby hospital for treatment.
 
As for the driver, that individual stayed at the scene for the investigation.
