1 Person Killed in Sacramento Motorcycle Accident on 5 Freeway

 
SACRAMENTO, CA (February 15, 2022) — One person died in a motorcycle crash on the 5 Freeway near Florin Road.
 
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal motorcycle accident happened Sunday around 8:27 p.m. Under unclear circumstances, a motorcyclist carrying one passenger crashed the bike on the northbound 5 Freeway.
 
As a result of the crash, one of the occupants suffered fatal injuries.
 
Soon after, paramedics responded and brought the other passenger to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
 
Commuters faced roughly two hours of traffic. At this time, authorities have not released the precise circumstances and cause of the motorcycle accident. However, anyone with more information should contact the CHP.
