One Killed in Malibu Car Accident on Pacific Coast Highway

 
MALIBU, CA (September 6, 2022) – One person died in a car accident on Pacific Coast Highway late Sunday afternoon.
 
According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department – Lost Hills Station, the incident happened on September 4 at about 4:35 p.m. For reasons still under investigation, an unknown number of vehicles collided near Civic Center Way.
 
Emergency crews pronounced at least one victim dead at the scene. Authorities withheld the identity of the victim, pending notification of next of kin.
 
Responders temporarily closed all northbound lanes of Malibu Canyon Road between the Pacific Coast Highway to Civic Center Way to make way for an investigation and clearing operations.
 
The Sheriff’s Department continues to investigate the cause of the fatal accident. Officers will release additional information once it becomes available.
